March Madness

As you probably know, the NCAA tournament starts tonight as UNC-Asheville and Arkansas-Little Rock kick things off at 6 P.M.  It's always a fun time, especially if you are an avid basketball fan.  I'll be rooting for the Jayhawks as they attempt to win another national championship.  What I love about the tournament is that it offers smaller teams an opportunity to showcase their skills on college basketball's biggest stage.

In addition to the NCAA tournament, there are other postseason opportunities for teams- the NIT, CBI, and CIT, which contain 32, 16, and 24 teams respectively.  Over the next two weeks, I will be watching more basketball than is healthy for a normal human being to watch.  Tonight, there are 2 NCAA tourney, 7 CIT, 4 CBI, and 9 NIT games, and that's only the beginning.  On Thursday and Friday, the first round of the Big Dance will be played on CBS and station affiliates.  Think I'm obsessed?  You are probably right.
